20 seacraft center console i/0 restortion
 

whats anyone think of a 20 I/0 I splashed the boat last weekend after 400 hour redoing it over the winter and it was the best riding seacraft I have ever owned:D:D:D

Very nice work. How does it run with the little 3.0?

She's not the fastest but it does pretty good it gets right up on plane with 3 in the boat and I'd say dose 25 to 30 mph this is my first I/o seacraft and my first 20fter and the thing just rides unreal I ran it a few times last year before the redo and I love the way the boat handled so instead of putting a bracket on it we went with keeping the boat to it original layout witch I think is awesome it really turns a lot of heads because you just don't see them anymore being a center console and all

If a soft ride is your top priority, keeping the I/O was a good decision, especially if you keep it on a trailer! Carl Moesly told me that the CG is further forward on the I/O's than the outboard models. Although they're a bit heavier, most of the weight is forward of the transom. I was on an I/O Seafari recently, and that thing would easily plane at 12 mph w/o trim tabs! In a relatively light hull that goes airborne easily in seas over 3', that's a nice feature to have! Should also be a 5 mpg rig, so you'll see less pain at the pump!

I agree the C/G is def way more forward on the I/o like you say it planes so easy and it just sips fuel with that 3.0 in it I had an 72 an 88 23 ft seacraft and I also have now an 06 25 ft seacraft and this 20 is by far the funnest one of them all its perfect for the bay my intentions were to build and sell the boat but after seeing it done I decided im going to keep it I like how easy it trailers it always seems like its such a project to dump the 25 in the water the 20 I don't have to plan it I can hook up to it after work and go chase strippers

as for the stickers I bought them years ago for a 23 seacraft I was redoing and I bought 2 sets I cant remember the name of the company it was prob 4 or 5 years ago now sense then but who ever made them did an awesome job there a really nice decal ill do some research and see if I can find them I will keep you posted

Your boat is beautiful. I have a 20SF I/O and an 18SF with an etec 150. My 20sf has the mercruiser 888 and it really does ride awesome.
