I have a tandum 24/26 slip-on alum with 3500lb axels and 15" tires .....,and no breaks
Im planing a trip back to her old home next summer or fall and just planing ahead.

Yes, Fl does require brakes on BOTH axels if over #3000. Also, I have heard that the Monroe County Police carry portable scales they use to check weight limits

Last time I was in Fla with the boat it had to be strapped down to the trailer.

Monroe County is the worst!!!
They popped me for not having cab clearance lights
on the truck because of the T-top....

Just have all your lights in order before you take off..
That is the first thing they look at!!

Transom strap and transom eye hold down straps go a long way on a
small boat. Bright LED`s also get a nod now and then. They must see
silly questions upon the scene no?
