Here's some pics of a real simple one I made with a buddy of mine years ago that worked extremely well for about 30 years. Skip is now using it on their Bowrider.

We bought an 8' piece of 1" SS tubing, some SS bimini top fittings, and an 8'x1"x8" teak board (For $35! . . . this was in the mid '70's) that was enough to make two platforms. Used a conduit bender to create the U-shaped tubing. Used his Shopsmith to cut up the teak and drill the holes in the SS tubing. Used 1/4-20 screws, recessed in the teak planks and covered with teak plugs, with nyloc nuts on the bottom. It was mounted to the transom with a couple of bimini top fittings; supported by one rope to the towing eye on one side and another rope to a pad eye on the other side. It would fold up nearly flush with the transom, was very light, and could be easily removed for fishing. If you mount it right at the water line so that it's awash when lowered, your really don't need a ladder, although I added a removable 2 step ladder for when the gals were aboard.

I have another pic of it mounted on the boat before the bracket addition/repower that I'll post later if I can find it.

Thanks for the offer but think I found a local guy to make me an alum one.

Caymanboy I like your platform setup, if I ever get around to repainting my boat I would probably try something like that.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll post a pics once its on.

jorgeinmiami, If you would like it send me your zipcode and I will figure out how much shipping will be. I will try to get a pic of it tonight if the rain stops this afternoon.

Here is a pic of it one up close I took last night and I found another old pic that shows it at a distance that may show its size better.
