Merc EFI question

Hello, well heres the issue, the engine will run at low speed perfectly until I go over 2-3 thousand rpms or more and then slow down to low speed, say 800-1000 rpm. Then it will run for 2-3 minutes and stall. After that I hear a whistling sound from the efi. Is something suck open? My problem is I'm not familiar with EFI repairs and am kind of nervous to start disassembling it. i have the shop service manual but still kind of hesitant. Any thoughts?

Ask for a great wrench where you live. And then go kill some fish.

Great wrench? After some investigating yesterday it seems an injector is getting stuck open. there is a small amount of fuel leaking out of the bottom EFI. Going see if I can repair it today. Maybe premium fuel and cleaner?

Do you not haven't a smart craft gauge?
Sounds like a water issue to me..... The fuel filter has a sensor on the bottom that will cause exactly that when it picks up water. New filter and water separator if you don't already have one and I would pump the bottom of your tank if the problem persist.

I put a new 10 micron separator on and that didn't help. The water filter on the engine does have the sensor on it but no alarms were going off. Im going to replace that one too anyway and see what happens. Any other thoughts would be helpful, but Im thinking a stuck injector, thanks for the info.
