That's Paul Cuddy's Boat, he is a really nice guy. He had it for sale a few years back, but rather than give it away he kept it to take is Grandson Fishing. To him that's worth it, even I he uses it once a year. I believe he told me the story when he bought it. It was left over from the Boston Boat show in 1985 and he bought it in 1986. I remember the boat at the Boston show when I bought my first Seacraft, a 1985 23' I/O. I really wanted the 27, but could not afford it at the time and it only came with 2-stroke outboards. So you can imagine, that 27 Seacraft has been part of his life for almost 30 years, it would be difficult for him to part with I am sure. I think there is as much chance of him selling his 27, as there is for me selling mine

Lets hope it servers him and his family well for manny years to come

What a dive boat that would make! I can just see it with a low profile wrap around windshield and a Tsunami style helm pod and hard top. It would probably be the only major refit project I would ever consider.....

This one was a little more in my price range:
http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/4030899818.html Taking on a $60k project right now could make married life a little difficult. When the nest clears out I will have the time and funding to start a new way to make money disappear. |
Is the one in the CL link a super fish model of a tournament model? Also have you looked at it and what is the condition of her. I have been thinking about getting one and fully restoring the race boat back original. If I do this I will need another boat for my offshore trips. I love Todds but it is like you said out of my budget.

It's not the tournament so I assume it is the SF. I haven't gone and looked at it yet as I am too scared I will buy it. The trailer alone looks worth the cash but from what I understand the floor has issues and considering the age of the hull you have to assume the worst and consider it a full restore for the most part.

If this thing sticks around a few months I may be in trouble !!!!! My nest is less than a year from chicks learning to fly on their own and this could fill a spot on the Size list !!!
