I am new to this forum and was looking for a little help. I just bought a 78 20' MA and am looking to do some resto work on it. Overall not bad condition. Transom is decent for now. I am going to take the top cover of and re-due the wood/ fiberglass layer underneath. Any idea what plywood to use under it and fiberglass mat to use. And also what to use to fill in any holes that are not needed anymore. Thanks for the help.

Just replace wood where rod holders were and front bow cleats and any other rotten wood. Leave in the wood that is good to go. Helps keep the top side smooth. Try not to leave it laying around w no wood in it for to long cause it will be hard to get it back smooth and straight, topside that is. 3/4" is what I went back w on my MA. Filled in holes w cabosil/resin and 1.5oz matt where holes were bigger.
