Thieves and vandals

Someone broke into 4 RVs and my boat and truck at my storage spot last night. I found the guy, still drugged up, unconscious in his car this AM. Spent all day dealing with cops and cleanup. He made a mess out of everything, but only took the $40 I had in my ashtray in the truck. He had my tools out of the boat, but left them- they are heavy.

At least he will be spending his holiday in jail, any maybe the next holiday, too. There is plenty of video tape of this scumbag. I guess I can be thankful for that tomorrow.

Surprised ya didn't put him on the fish stretcher and straighten him out.
Glad you got him. He' should be grateful for the free meals and dry bed he'll get at county...

Happy Thanksgiving, Pilgrim.

Well, he was passed out, but I didn't have any evidence at the time that he was the guy- he probably spent my $40. So I didn't have a good reason to confront him. I wasn't even sure he had anything to do with it. But the police department quickly figured out that he had two bench warrants out on him.

Right now, I know who he is, and he doesn't know who I am, and he is in jail with more charges pending, so I am pretty comfortable with the situation.

Glad they threw him in jail, and you didn't lose more.My hats off to you for not jumping the gun and taking it out on him before you were sure.
I don't think I could have done that,I tend to react very quickly,in cases like yours.A few years ago thieves had only one more bolt to go and would have got away with my Yamaha kicker motor, until they were somehow scared off.

I'm surprised the cops got there before he woke up ! A few yrs ago Iwoke up to find the company service van broken into called the cops this was about 6am and was told they would have some one there-----by noon! I had to be at a bank by 7 as they had the alarm being turned off . Told them I'd get back to them and did that evening. Figured if I could Waite so could they .
