wonder if it has anything to do with the odd looking user names added recently. Maybe some forum security check isn't working correctly. I have never seen a dot com address as a user name before, for example.

The former Soviet Block nations have discovered this forum and have been bombarding it with spammer members. Tens of thousands of additional IP addresses have been blocked, but there are still more they are exploiting.

This is a common problem with online forums. You were lucky before because only China was trying to spam. Now Russia and the Ukraine have gotten on board.

virus protection wont even let me open main page. have to get on site thru forum list page
