Seacraft 20 Open Fisherman Tournament Edition

Seacraft 20 Open Fisherman Tournament Edition center console - What year were these made? Did they exist in 1974?

Thanks

There is no tournament edition of that vintage that I have ever seen.

What's a tournament edition?

Thats what I am trying to find out. Is there a post that talks about the different models and years of the "Potter" or "moesly " hulls. Foe example I think the 72,73 have the sme console but the 74 and 75 have a different console.

I think the 1st "Tournament Edition" didn't appear until Tracker took over in the mid 80's.

There are 2 versions of the 19. The sf and the master angler. The master angler has a different cap and a smaller casting platform forward.

Those are the 20's, not the 19's. The Potter-built 20' SeaCraft was actually 19'8". It was Tracker that extended the hull to 20'2", but I don't know when that began.

The best person to ask about which were "Potter-built" and which were built under Carl Moesly's direct management would be Bill Potter, who lurks around here frequently.

I think Potter-built generally includes 1968 to 1980.

CG plate on my `89 lists 20`4". So at least by `89.

My 85 is 20'4" also, i believe that started on the early 80's

I think "84" on the plus 6" boats, but don't quote me on that. I have seen some older 1970 advertisements call the "SF" super fish models an "open fishermen". I think that's what they called the early sf models till the "ma" master anglers came out. Most up here know them as sf's but if you go to the literature section at the home page of this site you will see them referred to as open fisherman on the early 70's articles. The only Tournament Edition's I know of are late model boats in the tracker days. ie Lefty Kreh edition ect.
