Moving to Ft. Worth, TX
 

...sigh...A new job is requiring us to relocate from Arlington, VA to Ft. Worth. I will be in need of SeaCraft companionship, if it exists 250+ miles from any water worth boating/fishing on.
So...just took the cover off to inspect (5 weeks of serious cold/snow) and that glorious fragrance of aging fiberglas/epoxy (no gas/oil fumes...hurray!) has my blood pumping like a normal (!) SeaCraft addict.

I'm looking for boat repair supply/mercruiser maintenance in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so I can finish up with my minor restore. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I'll be doing my initial boating on the various lakes (puddles...helluva drought...) before deciding where to keep the boat. I figure we'll be in Corpus Christi as often as possible, so I might need to store it there.

Lived in the DFW area for two years doing the "corporate thing" and I found it interesting the amount of large boats on Lake Lewisville. Some guys had 36' to 40' Fountains, Baja type boats with large high horsepower engines and would idle into the basin at Sneaky Pete's bar and then blow off across the lake and come back about 30 minutes later and do it again....and again...and again, all day. The one nice thing is each time back in the basin the girls had less and less clothing. :) Good luck!!

Take heart, you have a good boat for lake cruising. I'm not familiar with that area, but gunk holing big lakes(and small) can be a lot of fun. Intended to be doing exactly that this weekend in a 25 seafari.

Lake Texoma, Lake Whitney...we have fresh water striped bass...and you can catch them year round.
