Light weight filler

Can I use the 3M body filler (red/green in the tubes) to fill all the misc pinholes in the gelcoat? I sprayed some 545 yesterday and I see a few places I need to touch up but the pinholes are not deep and I have some light scratches also. I'm tired of sanding epoxy filler!!

This is what I use to fill pin holes over epoxy glass work:

Interlux watertight epoxy filler

It is thin enough that you can apply with a razor blade to little pin holes and it is smooth enough to spread well

Da Frizz is right!! Good stuff, easy to use and sand. Plus it's epoxy.

If you have cabosil on hand, you can use it to thicken an ounce or so of activated 545 primer to a putty consistency. I've had good results with that mixture on pinholes after priming.

Blue heron I will give that a try. I have a gallon kit of the grey I need to use anyways. Just minor fairing to do. As of right now the Dolphin, Blackfin and Wahoo are in full swing. So my cosmetics are on the back burner!!
