Mercury Black Max 150..... SOLD
3 Attachment(s)
I selling my 150 Black Max
I am from what I was told that I'm the 2nd owner of the engine. It spent most of it's life as a fresh water engine. It has good compression pretty even at 98 to 100 My mechanic says it's in very good shape. I changed Plugs, rebuilt carbs, thermostats, water pump and lower unit oil. I have the original shop manuals and some receipts from prior owner. Will include SS Prop and aluminum spare, Binnacle and control cables, harness and key switch Basically put on your hull connect battery and go. Asking $ 975 OBO Prefer local pickup of you can arrange shipping |
Or save some money and get a bay extension kit to make it a 25" motor. Heck of a lot cheaper than a new engine. And if the bay manufacturing kit #410 works for that engine, I happen to have one for less than half price of new one and only used for one month.

Am I off base as to the price I put out there?
It does come with just about everything you need to get it on your boat and go Opinions please!!! |
That wouldn't last 5 mins on san diego CL, price iis more than fair. People probably think "way's it so cheap? must be something wrong with it." List it at 2k and the fone will probably start ringin of the hook:D
Might consider Chance's suggestion about the extension kit to make yours a 25" shaft and save yourself a lot of money. I think Fred (fheld34) made the conversion no problem. bigshrimpin has made the change several times, I think. |
Thought about the extension, but I would really like and I have a line on "new" power Yamaha 150
LOL on listing it way above what it's worth |
Post it for 2750.
