GM truck fire hazard.

I am now replacing my 4th hvac fan motah at 80k mi... And possibly the wiring harness to it and the hvac resistor.

Last summah, I went to work and turned the truck off. The fan stayed on...
Turn truck on. Turn truck off. Fan stays on. Ohhh k. Pop hood. Resistor is showing a lil smoking habit. Pull fuse.

New resistor and fan motah. Well here we go again.

03 Sonoma. All trucks seem to have this from @99- 11. GM Canada issued recall.

Don`t recall getting a letter from GM US.

Buying marshmallows,

How`s the new job going?

Ordered the pigtail yesterday. Should be in today.

Pretty sad that GM does not answer the fire alarm.
Not a safety issue I guess.

Sandy
the new job is ... well a job... the pay is good and benifits will be good in the long run .... but alas it is still just a job... although the schedule is rather hard to beat .... thinking about carrying over my vacation this year to next to ensure we make BOTH meet ups next year ... Tab is still talking about the wellington on the island !! It has to be the most unique place for a wellington dinner !!
As for the chevy fires .... i may have toi check into the hole pigtail ... if her truck burns and i knew of a way to prohibit her dream truck from turning into ash i would need a lawyer and a doctor ... in reverse order of stated.....

I found Marty @ Schumacher/dealer local. He`s been there forevah. Super guy. That is the "fix" for what that is worth. Hats off to GM, The "kit" came with 10 ga crimps, so 10 to 18/20???
