You're awesome!

Thanks Tiny . . . I didn't think it was too bad for a 1987 2.4L 175hp Mercury powerhead . . . Put another 70 miles on it yesterday with the new prop. I'm fairly sure a new 150 4 stroke Merc would be able to hang with a 27 year old 175hp :)

More proof exemplifying the significance of the right prop for achieving the real potential of these hulls! Light is right, and stern-lift is a gift.

Good stuff, Big - WTG:cool:

Gillie - I can't wait to see what the 2.5L 240 sportjet block will do . . . I'll be swapping that motor on after fishing season. Might even see 50 :) You never know.

Those 2.4Ls from the 80s have some power! I love it! Thats not too shy of what I get running my EFI 2004 250hp! WOT is about 45-46mph, Sweet, thx for sharing!
I am seriously considering hanging twin 2.5s on the back, Id need to change up my bracket to a full hermco, but I think the boat would run about 70mph and cruise in the upper 40s. Decisions, Decisions :)

Twin 15" Mercury Inertia's

Here are a pair of 15" x 15" Mercury Enertia's fitted with Evinrude hubs on a 25', 1967 Bertram Moppie.
Lots of blade surface for cruising. The 115's turning 4,150 make 23 MPH, 5,500 make 35 MPH. The boat and gear is 7,000#+ when we push away from the dock. Topped off with 36 gallons after last 84 mile trip.
