250 Mercury XL pricing?

As part of our winnings at the Nationals in November, we won a 250 XL Mercury with a prop. I just got the email that the motor is being shipped tomorrow. Now I need to move it, but I'm not sure of what to ask/take for it. Anyone got any advice?
Thanks,
BA

If it is a Brand new optimax 250 I would say around $17,000 is what they go for at a fair price. Being you are a individual not a authorized dealer you may get around $15,000 for a fast sale. I would slap it on ebay or Craig's list for 16k or best offer and see what happens. If you cant sell it, I will take it off your hands! Im right up the road so no shipping needed! That is if you can take payments...lol I would love to have that on my 23 sf

Ditto Frizz!! I would put that on my 23'er in a heartbeat!!! Perfect engine for that hull. If I was using my boat more often I would replace my 3.0 225 EFI with this one from BA17 in a second!!

Don't give me any more crazy ideas!!
