Just priced a 23 regulator
115,000. Single 300 yammy. No trailer. However I did copy a couple ideas like the wiring thru the bracket tubes and under mount swim ladder and some other stuff. I'll keep working on the 23' Seacraft. And to boot their scuppers could be better. That's crazy for a 23'.

Holy smokes . . . that's the price of a house in some parts of the country.

New boats are so far out of reach its crazy. Thats why i have always bought used boats and why it makes sence to restore a older boat at times!!!!

I might be able to hook you up on a Reg. 21' w/ a 200 Honda 4s for about 18,000

I don't want one! My 23 blows that thing away. I was mainly grabbing some ideas and going over hardware manufactures. Gemlux ang GGSchmidt and sons are the two I could find. Nice products. I'll be buying Gemlux slam and compression latches. I need to post some pics as soon as I find an easy way.

Their 23 is suppose to be closer to 26-27 overall.
Did you find it bigger than your 23 SC? I agree that the cost is up there but it seems that's where the market is. |
The regulator has more freeboard. My boat has a bracket so the overall length is the same. Aluminum bracket on the Reg. Fiberglass is fiberglass to me. I figure since I have redone and made a custom back cap boats are just endless ideas for some nice creations. Really as far as building one I find it more enjoyable then just making a payment. They are nice boats indeed but does it really cost that much to make one? I doubt it. The only thing left on my 79 will be the serial number that's not brought up to date. Coosa and epoxy all over the boat. Plus I'm turning the forward box in the Sceptre into one huge insulated fish box with macerator.

Reg 23............. I hear you.........supposedly a great riding boat / I believe no wood construction ? And of course - cool looking, all new.
For well over $ 100,000 for those that can spend this the way other guys spend $10,000 for a boat it's great. Still.................. if the original SeaCraft 21' hull was available again, I'd like to compare rides in 3-4' chop . I've had 4 boats, never more than $ 15,000 and all have been cool and put me on the fish. I'm a new boat salesperson's worst nightmare. |
boat show "discount" price on everglades 24 was $125k
