Fifth wheel style boat trailer?

Anyone ever do this? I have a very long pickup- extracab F250, 8 foot bed.

It would be easier to maneuver, and if the hitch on the trailer folded *UP*, it might store well in the yard.

Just a thought.

Seen a lot of gooseneck boat trailers out there. Most of them are for the larger boats and the axles further back to put more weight on the tow vehicle. I don't think I ever saw one that folds up.

A lot of the race hulls and cat boats use trailers like this, they are sweet if you have a long boat I would think. Should turn a lot better.

Thanks! I'll think about it for the 25 footer.
