Boat temporarily off market while sorting through some issues

Ok, I've had several PMs & emails this afternoon asking about the price. It is very difficult to price these boats, as they don't come up for sale as often as a 23 footer. The last one listed on this forum appears to have sold in the $15k range: http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ad.php?t=26229 and was VERY similar to mine...both restored in recent years, both with 1998 motors, both late Potter hulls.

Now, that particular boat appears to be far better cosmetically sorted, so if I allow for the (cosmetically/aesthetically superior) restoration, along with the T-Top and Isinglass enclosure, and the trailer, that probably puts mine in the $10k range, which I am not looking to get (although that would be nice).

If anyone here is a player in the $8,000 range, please get in touch.

in that size range (17-19) I don't think there is any boat that comes close to what you get with a SeaCraft. I would jump on that if I was looking for a boat. Imagine what you would have to pay for a newer boat of lower quality. Perfect entry-level SeaCraft!

Thanks for the kind words about the boat. While it is not going to win any beauty contests, I feel I should stress that this boat is mechanically and structurally sorted, and rides better than many 20-22 footers that you could wind up paying through the nose for.

Other than the occasional rough start (three or four tries turning the key) and some blue smoke, there is really nothing this boat should apologize for. Great fuel economy, great ride, easy to trailer, easy/cheap to maintain, great bar-hopper or fishing machine, self-bailing, skinny water friendly, and easy on the eyes.

She's never left me sitting at the dock with a full cooler of beer, never stranded me on the water, and she gets compliments (quite literally) almost everywhere I take her.

If anyone doesn't like my pricing, just let me know...I'm open to discuss. As I said, It's pretty hard to price this boat...there just aren't enough of them for sale. I'm not looking to be lowballed, but if you can justify to me why you think my pricing is "off," I'm all ears...and I've already bought another boat, so I don't really feel like paying for to insure and store two of them for too long.

UPDATE: Removed from market while sorting through a few issues.

I've had a little action on the boat, and a little update from my dealer friend. As noted in the original posting, there were a couple items not working currently: bilge pump and anchor/cockpit light.

Well, as it turns out, there is a wiring issue. My dealer will replace all wiring in the boat (stem to stern), replace the bilge pump, replace anchor light, new breaker, new fuse holder, etc. Detailed estimate available.
