Price check for 2001 yamaha 115 two stroke
 

Guys, i'm going to be selling my 2001 Yamaha 115 two stroke 25" shaft. It will come with all controls, wiring, gauge, stainless prop, brand new oil tank and pump. I'll be repowering with a 4S this spring is the reason for sale. It has almost 600 hours and runs like a top. I've used it all commercial striped bass season in the Northeast. What do you all consider a fair price for this? It is available for trials on my Seacraft untill late October probably. There is a decent chip in the skeg from where previous owner hit something. Cowlings all show pretty good with some minor scrapes on top. I tried looking on Craig's list for something comparable but figured i'd ask here. Thanks.

Is it fuel injected? Were any of the 115's fuel injected, or all carb'd? I might have some interest, also not sure about a fair price for the motor.

carbed. oil injected. hard to find comparables in the 115 size. Also, it pushes my 1972 20 SF to 35 knots WOT at 5500 rpm with me and 3/4 tank. I usually cruise at 4000 at 22-24 knots which i think is damn good for a 115. thats almost 40 mph WOT and 25 mph cruise. It is a pretty light boat with no T-top though and a 50 gallon tank.

imo this is the perfect motor for a 20 Seacraft, my guess at least for Florida prices would be around 3-4K dollars.

It really is. Light fast and bullet proof and I think mine is pretty good on oil too. I've run the boat a lot this year on 3 gallons of oil. I'm talking 10-14 hrs a day sometimes. She never once let me down. I'd keep it but I want a small 4 stroke now.

What do you mean by a small 4 stroke, are you replacing it with a 90HP 4 stroke or are the newer 4 stroke 115 HP motors physically smaller than your existing motor ?

Smaller meaning less than a 150hp which lots of people like to hang on the back of these things. 115 up to 140
