Dougie was sick of catching catfish around here, so we ran the coast a hundred miles to catch somebody else's catfish!
Dougie festoons his Seafari with all sorts of stuff lasted off on the sides like Jed's Clampetmobile. Usually there's a wash tub or frying pan dangling from the rails too. He does this because, be'in that he a member of Mensa, he don't want nobody sneaking up on him while he's focused on fish'in and axe'in stuff like "What's the relevance of the Theory of Relatively" or "Why do the womenfolk git both their Dander and Hackles Up when you start talkin' about some new marine electronics?" He only discusses that importnat data when ever-bodys got a beer and yur leaning over a pick-up truck bed. Dat's where you solve dem problems - just axe Spider Crab!

Nice yachet! So I'm assuming with the red water bottles strapped to the rail, the trailer was not required for the journey.?. The Seafari ain't gonna tolerate a 70 gallon fuel cell like the MA. But, if my Seafari was ready for Homosassa, I wouldn't, or maybe I should say, Lucie, would not require a room!

Happy Labor Day

Doug and Bushwacker are hatch'in a plan about running up to MacRae's from Bayport for the Gathering, but they might stay one night in Chazaowitzka Bay first. Git the Seafari done, meet them at the BP marker and plant a flag in Lucie Island up there somewhere.
Vezo, those Seafari's are nice. They have this thing called a "cabin" which is like a giant center console you can put a lot of chit in and they have a windshield that goes almost all the way across the boat so they are real dry when the wind is blowing 15. Seafari's are real handy when Mother Nature wants to put a Azz Whipp'in on ya' and you are twenty miles from home! You know how it can get at 5:30 in Hernando Beach, when Donny sends one of those afternoon thunderstorms up from Apollo Beach. CG notice to mariners said the one last night at Anclote had winds clocked at 38 MPH - a little dusty for an CC!

Yea, but don't use a chart plotter. Use the Navionics program on your I -pad with an air card or your Smart phone. (I picked up a Verizon tower somewhere) The program has a Google Earth overlay that I've found is more accurate than the charts, either that or the channel has moved. In any case I just eased in there and never stirred dust with the B-25. There is one skinney spot than came up to about 3'-4' for 100 feet or so, then back down to 6-7' deep. The channel is a little wider behind the little north key, so you can swing around on the hook.
The tide driven current blows through there steady one way or the other, but it a pretty good Gunkhole.
Conner, this is Donny's Picture Site so quit getting all these threads crossed up, will ya'? Gee Wilikers, we got this whole web-site tangled up with a big snarly backlash right in the middle of the CSC quilt they'er knit'n.
