Yeah, my 79 MA has an ugly maroon, but I was always told that it is good sound deadening qualities. It's in good shape so...

On my 86 MA it was ripped and falling apart. I took the teak trim off and just pulled it all out. It must have been glued at one time but it came right out leaving the orange colored raw fiberglass.Still trying to figure out what to do with that area. I thought about having a sprayed Rhino lining like in a pickup truck bed applied. Would deaden the sound and maybe seal up that compartment. Do you have sheets of foam between the liner and the hull?Good luck and let us know how your making out with it.

I`ve heard bed liner is tough to clean.

Google needle punch carpet. Shaw will send samples if you want them.

no sheets of foam, just carpet. I thought about the sound thing but im wondering how big of a diff it makes?...its black witch i think cuts down on glare, so i think that i would use a dark gell coat when i redo it?
