1977 Sceptre Deck Thickness

I am thinking about adding rod hangers in the ceiling of the cabin of my Sceptre. The area of the ceiling under the windshield is 3/4" thick. Does anyone know the thickness of the deck near the anchor locker?

I think it's about 5/8" thick with a 3/8" Balsa core sandwiched in between glass and gel coat

Here is a suggestion...mount the rod holders to a wooden pad and then 5200 the pad to the ceiling. That way no water intrusion, and you spread the load. :D

not a bad idea - but...

a better idea,would be to use a bead of west system 610 - that's a permanent lamination
