Removable and or drop in tubs for a 23 seacraft. I have the two coolers in the back port and starboard but I want to be able to acces the transom cap.. So thought about cutting them out and building drop in tubs. Yes, No, maybe So

Some of the hulls use factor drop in tubs so I say go for it, the factory one on my 20' works well and it is nice to be able to pull it out and access the under side. Long as they don't carry too much weight when used they should work fine. If you are going to add much weight - fish ice ect. in ruff offshore conditions you may want a resting pad under the bottom that it slides up to and rest on. That would help take some of the strain off of the lip that the tub will hang from.

I did make a mold for them, for my 85-23SF.the originals were a rotocast type plastic, kinda cheap, but mine were missing.these are fiberglass now and tough,I made them removable and deep enough to hold yamalube gallons or spray bottles.pretty nice...
