Finally got a good en

Went exploring last night and got me good one twice.. I gigged him and was trying to get him in the cooler .then he got off and flopped right out the boat. Lucky for me he swam about 15' and I tracked him down and wammo back in the boat... I love gigging flounder its so therapeutic.

I love gigging! They've just about moved on here but last weekend I stuck 11 and 4 trout. What are you running for lights?

John the get even bigger, hence the name, Door mat.. I have seen people get 24"- 26" the body was 3" thick. Aguy last night lost his gig when he stuck a 24" inches...

Yea down here we can't stick trout. But man there are everywhere so ar the redfish... I use 3 Starfire lights.qbeam... I have not upgraded to led. Cause of expense. But then again I run two batts...

My brother still flounders around New Smyrna, he went to a harbor freight generator and a 500w halogen bulb. I have not seen it work but he claims that it will put out about 10X what my old 12V system would put out. He said some who use bigger generators run 1000w halogen. Redneck ingenuity I guess!

Way to go martin, some nice door matts there. I have picked up a few nice ones on rod and reel here but shifting into the trout now. I there isn't much I wouldn't trade for a nice 5lb flounder for a fish fry night....

Gigging

Thanks guys., this is about all the hunting I do.. It really gets my heart racing.. Hunting them ,I love gigging them..it also lets me scout around and see where the redfish and trout hangout at night
