Cleaning Aluminum

Hello, I have a chance to buy some used American racing wheels for my old Jeep CJ7. Trouble is the two front wheels have a bit of brake dust staining on them and I'm worried I won't be able to get them real clean. Any thoughts or experience in such a thing? Thank you.

What year CJ-7? 304-V8?

I owned and operated a self service carwash for 25 years....
The product you need is called "Brighter"
Completly safe for washing the the aluminum wheels on the Jeep !!

It is a commercial product, generally not sold to the public...
Acid wash that is safe for aluminum wheels!

I used to purchase it from Sonny's in Ft.Lauderdale, FL.

There maybe other brands out there today. I sold the business to the county
when they were widening the road in 2005.... So have been out of the loop
since then.

Good luck..

PS: Danny,

How many people do you know have one of these for a shop vac!!
