Windshield gaskets for 79 Sceptre

TP-139 or TP240? Called American marine and got bounced around. Anybody know what gaskets work? Also my glass had double sided tape holding it in place. There was no silicone.

Call a home window repair glazer. I had a home window get broken and noticed the trim looked very similar to what holds our glass in. He told me it was and can be ordered pretty cheap ordered no problem if a sample is provided. After watching him work I will have a pro do mine in the future.

FWIW I have in my notes from an old thread here that it is TP-139 but I didn't link the old post in my notes - it is here somewhere though. I like the pro idea.

The guy from American was named Michael ( I went back to emails from 2003 )

His email 'was' - mavery@americanmarine.com

I removed the stock, thin grey foam - Michael recommended that I use sealant by GE: GE RTV-108 ( American does a lot of boat windshields - they know their stuff ) and he had files on our old SC frames and all materials... etc...

Hope this helps you some way.
