Starting prepping the interior for new paint today. Any best practices for removing the handrail? I can't wait to have a new interior.

What paint are you going with Josh?

jnamowitz 03-23-2016 08:29 PM

I am using the paint that Shine sells. It's EMC Quantum. I'm still stripping everything. Hopefully be fairing and prepping this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing pictures, let me know if you have any more questions

Thanks Joel. I've got almost everything removed and I'm debating whether or not to remove the t-top or just tape it off really good. Also, before I prime, what grit should I sand the old gelcoat up to or does it matter? I use this international paint at work and it won't stick to a smooth surface. I need to prep the surface with no less than 120 grit or the paint will peel. If it's too smooth it's like it won't grab the surface.
Thanks in advance.
