Converting 1977 23 sceptre to master angler?

Hey everyone. I recently have gained access to a 1977 Sceptre. The boat was originally owned by my grandfather than passed down to my uncle... my uncle has since passed and now the boat is more than likely being passed down to me.

The hull of the boat is in great shape. However, I was wondering if anyone on here has converted a Sceptre to a master angler. If not what are the thoughts of possibly doing this?

Sceptre is such a classic, looks great, great layout..........

Already terrific if you keep as is but good luck either way.

If it needed a total rebuild such as cap, floor and transom and you wanted a big project as in a ground up new boat from a hull I would say go ahead. To take a good hull and do this is counter productive. Sell it an buy a cc. You will be hours in labor ahead...

The hull has been in my family since it left the factory so selling it is out of the question... The floor needs to be re done and I assume I would go ahead and do the transom while I have it apart. The master angler is a better boat for me than the sceptre based off of what I do.

Talk to Mike at Wildfire Marine in Stuart. I believe that he has a mold for a center console cap and can save you a lot of grief in your conversion.

Why not convert it to a Savage? Much less work and it keeps the best (or worst, depending on your viewpoint!) features of each model.
