77' 23' Ctr Console Poter Built - water coming up through scuppers/drain holes

Just put the boat in today and took her for a spin and noticed that I had a decent amount of water bubbling up through the drain holes/scuppers on the deck in the transom of the boat. Only happened above 26-28mph, once I slowed down it would drain out . . . .I have had the boat for 10 years and have never had that much water come in. Happened heading into the current and away.

Anybody have this problem or have any idea what could be causing it ?

Thanks

This will happen if the wedges just in front of the scupper outlets are removed or reduced in size.

Mudhen, I agree with Caper. Have you had anyone paint the boat or re-do the bottom paint lately? I've seem "boat yard boys" view what they believe is an imperfection on the hull, just ahead of the drain holes and think they are doing you a favor by grinding off these "imperfections" when they are actually the eyebrow that creates the vacuum to "suck" the water out of the drain holes. I've seen them ground down over time riding on a trailer bunk too. Make sure the "eyebrows" are still there just ahead of the drain holes and that the drain pipe itself is still intact.
