MaryKate's On/Off Hull cleaning gel

I'm very familiar with this product and really like it. Can I use it on my first painted boat? Getting ready to pull her and run her back up to SC. She was painted in 2012, and I do not know what type/brand of paint, but that is only a phone call away. Thanks in advance.

I have used muriatic acid bought from my hardware store, ( liquid not a gel ) on my awlgrip'd sailboat ( actually Awlcraft 2000 ) and it took off a yellow haze that I thought was permanent with no negative effect. I brushed in on my entire hull and within a few minutes spray with H20 to remove. I waxed the hull and it looks like the day I sprayed it ( less some mooring rash ! ).

With that being said, I would try it in a very inconspicuous area 1st. I am by no means an authority on this. I heard from someone it was safe and I did it with no issue at all.

As an aside - I used this same acid on all my stainless steel and it made it look NEW - too.

Thank you. Just the answer. I was looking for.

Michael.
