Insurance coverage - Bahamas

Gents - planning a trip Bimini with my Superfisherman. My insurance company Gieco won't cover because of size and engine. Neither will BoatUS. Any suggestions on where to look?

Seatow covers Bahamas.

Charter Lakes has great policies.

Boat US used to cover me for going to the Abaco's. Back in the 70's and 80's they were more willing to cover I/O's than outboards because of the low transoms. You might try Charter Lakes. I believe I asked them if I could get a rider to cover the Bahamas, and I think they said yes.

Progressive or Charter Lakes. I have progressive which I believe has a 100mi radius from your port location.

I have BoatUS, and my policy on my '71 Seafari I/O includes the Bahamas, (at an additional cost).

Have talked with BoatUS & Progressive. If you read the fine print, Progressive does not cover foreign counties despite Bahamas' close proximity. Both disqualify me because boat is under 26 feet and without dual engines. Waiting to hear back from Charter Lake & SeaTow.

Charter Lakes will cover it. If you need help PM me and I can get you in touch with the right person to help you on this.

Edit Update - Sorry- Charter Lakes will most likely cover it. Especially if you have had the boat redone. travelers is also a possibility. Thats who I have my 23 with now. But I can definitely get you with a guy who knows this stuff inside and out.
