Thruhull ducer

Looking to replace my transom mounted transducer with a thruhull. What ones would people recomend and where would I put it? I have a 1976 23sf inboard so space is limited ,Running simrad electronics.

If you are using the "old" style electronics, no Chirp or side view, go with the Airmar B60 or if you have a 1000w DSM a B164 tilted element. Oh yeah, 20 degree.

I have a separate side scan ducer for the system, I'll eventually change that to a thruhull. Currently the transducer I have is a 1kw

If you can live with just 200khz the Airmar ss264n is as good as it gets. Depends on how deep you want to go as the 264 is only good about 900' running 1k.
