Mercury 115 Pro XS

Hey folks, new to the forum. Great resource with lots of good info.

I'm considering a repower on my 20CC. Anyone running the newer Mercury 115?

not bad for 363lbs

I dont have the funds currently, but I have been looking at repower options myself, I was focused on the 115 ETEC at 390 lbs, thinking that all the equilavent 4 strokes weighed more, but this motor you are looking at weighs 363 lbs according to Mercury Website, so now my horizons have been opened!

The big thing, in addition to the lower weight, is the larger displacement. Wondering how much difference will that make?

Good point, the boats tested with this motor were lighter shorter boats like the mako 18 LTS.

I have a 115 ct, not a pro xs.

I'm very happy with the way it pushes my boat

Just for grins....I looked at the Mercury web site and lo and behold the new 115 Pro XS is a four stroke, say what???? What happened to the two stroke model? There're killing me!
