Question on floatation foam
 

How much and which foam would I need to replace the foam under the gunnels of a 20 MA?

I took the gunnels off and replace all the nasty wood and replaced it with nida core but had to trash the old foam

And best place in south Florida to buy

2 lb. foam is the standard for flotation. make sure it is closed-cell for marine use. You can call Gulfstream Composits and get more information as well as the quantity needed for your application.
Pour several small batches. If you make too much at once you will have a big unruly blob and end up cutting away the "overgrowth". Be sure to mask off any finished surfaces that may get foam on them; this stuff is sticky and hard to clean up.

Now from what I can guess and here is the math I did

average with of where I will be pouring is about 12" by the length of 17ft by 2" of depth gives me

17x1x.166 comes to 2.822 times 2 for the other side plus the front deck add another 4

all comes to about 10 cubic feet.

Or was I sleeping in math class?
