How do they react when the boat leans into a sharp turn?

The bracketed outboard makes the back deck huge.

Ha! Good chance we almost went right by each other! Took a ride from Terre Verde to Apollo beach and had lunch at Circles. Great food! The weekend was perfect on the bay! Apollo Beach reef was loaded with boats!

Eric-was a beauty of a day. Was going to just go out for a couple of hours and ended up going for about 5. Was hard to turn home.

CDavis-My two kids here are complete greenhorns so they won't know any better than the sharp turns. They were having fun with the rock as we were anchored yesterday though. Had a couple big boats plow by while we were fishing, good lesson in always having a hand for yourself and one for the boat. So glad I have a boat with high gunnels though. I always feel safe with them staying in the boat. The younger ones favorite thing is going fast and the cabin, she's a napper and that's usually her first destination.

Back deck is huge when the bench is folded down, gives us lots of room for fishing.

You need to feed them baby birds! ;<)

Not sure if you have covered this before but what is your minimum planing speed?

I will check on the next run for minimum planing speed. Do you mean the minimum to get up on plane or the minimum I can decelerate to and still stay on plane? Just want to make sure I'm giving you the right readout. The boat definitely has its quirks but we love it. Currently running without trim tabs so looking forward to fixing that sometime soon.

I guess I'm curious about both scenarios.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe I saw in one of your videos, at about 3000 rpm you are cruising at about 30 mph. I'm doing about 18 mph at 3000 with a 327 chev and mercruiser II drive. I can get it down to 16 at about 2800. It falls off plane below that. I think Connor can get his rig down to 14 mph which is awesome. Just curious what you can dial her down to.

I'm sure trim tabs will make a difference too. Be sure to look up Blue Heron's restore thread if you haven't done so. He made some killer extensions for his tabs out of fiberglass.
