Single 150hp on 23ft Seacraft CC

I remember reading years ago a guy in Europe had a single 115hp on a 23 Seacraft that ran well with a light load.

The more that I read about the great results with the L4 150hp-200hp, the more I keep looking forward to seeing some numbers with a single 150hp/200hp L4 on a 23 Seacraft.

I expect 38mph right out of the box.

I have a 23cc with double engine bracket and one 200 evinrude still working with it but was able to turn 6000 and gps read 40 mph with a Omc 19" pitch prop surprised me.

I'll let you know for sure in 2 weeks (Mercury 150 four stroke)

I ran a 175 powerhead for the last 5 years.

Is that with the other motor still hanging back there?

Time to quit polluting Big, Scott Pruitt will take care of that for us:eek: look forward to hearing your numbers. Are you bracketed on the 23'?

Lol no just the one got a deal on the bracket and wanted the extra flotation. So far happy with the combination

CB - It's going to snow again today. I talked with the sailfish reps last weekend at the New England Saltwater Fishing Show. They had a 220 with a Merc 150 (15P rev4) on display at the show. All three guys had logged hours on the exact setup. They claimed it would touch 40mph light with 1/2 tank of fuel and 2 guys.

Gillie - No bracket . . . The boat stills has a notched 25" transom. Hoping for a double helping navy gravy to make up for the looming cuts :( this is gonna be ugly.
