A local man was spear fishing and he never came back up, last someone saw him he was at 30 feet and waving his arms. Be careful out there guys!

Diving in open water from a boat is a team activity that can be very safe if everyone involved is trained and experienced. Both the team on the boat and in the water share responsibilities for each other that get everyone back home in one piece. Unfortunately the urge to get out on the water can cause folks to compromise safe practices that can lead to unfortunate mishaps and even worst. I hope this event ends in a happy ending.
