Motor

I just purchased a 23 foot center console 1978 Seacraft and wanted to get some opinions for a new motor.
Manufacturers and size.
It has a swimming/ dive platform for the motor.
It currently has a 1996 Johnson 225 hp.

Happy with my Yam 300. The Suzi is a little less $$$. The Suzi 350 would be sweettttt

Depends on how high tech you want to go and how much you want to spend. Being honest and owning both a DF 250 non AP and a 300 AP, either is a good choice. The 250 is lighter but has manual shift cables while the 300ap has fly by wire and better fuel economy. On a CC the 250 will push you 42 knots and the 300 will hit 45 knots. Powering a CC I'd look to go with the lighter options in selection for any brand. You won't be able to use all the power in either 90% of the time.
