scepter 23 twin I/O

Hi, has anyone first hand experience with a seacraft 23 scepter running twin 4cyl I/Os? wondering if these ride better than outboard powered models?

Had both a 23 Tsunami single OB and 23 single I/O; I/O way better ride.

Hello there
I have done both. I grew up on a 23 sceptre (25 years) with twin two stokes. I now have a 260 yanmar in one with a bravo 3 outdrive. There is no comparison between the ride in the two configurations. I’m not trying to poor mouth any Boat that has either but the IO with a heavy engine along the centerline will destroy anything in its path. Seems more stable in the water with less roll and It seems much more bow heavy with very little time for trim tabs. I have had the 18,20 and now the 23 sceptre and its in a different class. Has the bow to do anything offshore and is a safe Bluewater Boat for the Gulf of Mexico at least. You can also drift inshore for trout and reds. I’ve said it 4 times with Seacraft but I don’t think I’ll sell this one. Yea right. Ha

I’m glad you did too. It’s a great boat. Low hours and new transom. Let get together this summer
