5.7L/260HP running take-out - free to good home

On the offhand chance I ever finish my 23 rebuild, I am trying to force myself into a new motor by seeing if anyone wants the old one for free - it would need to be picked up in Palatka FL (between Gainesville and St. Augustine) at a time when I can be there (Christmas?). I was planning on re-using it and pickled it before I pulled it.

5.7L/260HP Mercruiser 383hours (mix of salt and brackish, always flushed with hose after running) stainless merc risers, 4bbl, and parts I was going to upgrade with: tall motor mounts (more clearance for getting at starter), remote oil filter, replacement cooling check valves and springs. I know the oil drain plug is rusted and needs to be replaced but the pan looks ok. Manifolds look ok but I was going to replace them. I need to keep the elbows and probably will need the bellhousing back but it is still on to make it easier to handle.

As an aside...I've been to the indoor gun range in Palatka with my Dad. Nice range!

OC - I didn't even know about the range in Palatka - I'm going to have to check that out!
