Anchor Locker Hatch for 78 23' CC

Hoping someone has some dimensions or suggestions on replacing a missing anchor locker hatch. Currently working on a 78 23' CC project that came missing this hatch. Any info is welcomed.

use 3/4" PVC board NOT STARBOARD. PVC can be glued, cut ,screwed, sanded & painted like wood but no rot!

MUST BE MADE IN 2 PIECES
1. Make a template via carboard from inside
2. Cut your piece to size
3. Measure and cut out your access hatch to size
4. Now cut the new bulkhead piece verticaly down the center line into two equal pieces.
5. Install by screwing each piece from inside to the cap and inner liner edges. Line up the the center line & Use PVC cement to glue the two pieces together. (Epoxy paste to hide center line saw cuts at top and bottom of hatch)
6. Sand and paint new bulkhead and hatch pieces, caulk around outside liner edges after install.
7. Reinstall the hatch cutout with a SS piano hinge & latch

Gucci all the way !

Anchor Locker Cover

Capt Chuck's hatch cover looks great and may be best for an open boat. Years ago For my Seafari I had a canvas shop make a nice looking, snap-on cover with a net fabric in the center. Still looks good and provides breathability.

Is PVC board a fairly typically available item?
Haven't seen it anywhere here in New England. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places? Or not looking hard enough?
Home depot?
Specialty lumberyard?
Is it pretty cheap?

try sign shops - that's where I've found it before. Not too bad on the wallet.
