Walmart tire Warning !
 

I have always kept good tires on all of the rolling stock !
On our trip to the Jensen gathering in June on I-95
had a blowout on the right rear of No Bones' trailer.
Patti and I bought a replacement at WM in Stuart.

These tires are less than a year and half old on all four them !
The boat and trailer are warehouse kept on concrete floor..

July, daughter and son-in law on return trip from Scalloping on
Hwy 40 have blow out on left front...

Before they left he noticed the right front was low on air after
airing them up the week before.. He went to Walmart and bought a
replacement for that one.. Good thing ! After looking close there
was evidence the sidewall was coming apart..

Noticed the left rear (The only original left) same thing !!!

We replaced all 4 even the new WM ones that only had maybe 200 miles
on them...

Reason "Made in China" JUNK :mad: :mad:
Try to find tires for trailers that are made in the USA....:(
The new B78 X 13's we bought at a Goodyear dealer are from Thailand...:(

Is that a Power King?

Yes sir..

I sell those, but, haven't had any problems with them...YET.

I had two out of four 14" Power King radial trailer tires blow out on me on a single trip pulling my Neptune 24' sailboat last summer. Both were less than 6 months old, and both had less than 100 miles on them. They were properly inflated, and had well-greased bearings. Both blew out at highway speeds, about 30 miles apart. I took them back to a franchise of the Tire Rack store, and after much discussion, had them replaced with Carlisle radials before I delivered the boat to the new owner.

Hey Ken, which model Power King is that?....wait, was that? I see on their website they have a bunch of different models bias and radial and a "boat tire" selection. I see it's steel belted and looks like the same tread pattern as the "HD Radial Trailer". In any case I was buying tires from Wally World (cheap bastard) and was getting two years max on the bias ply, not steel belted....we're only talking 2000 miles and wore out. I'm done with those.

The guy who just built my nephew's trailer, my neighbor's trailer, many others I've sent his way and who I buy most all of my trailer parts from has had very good luck with the Arisun steel belted bias ply tires on his new trailers. Yep as you guessed China. I just bought two from him, fingers crossed.


Edit time...I see on the left of the tire picture it looks like "tow max"???? Shoot that's their Premium Tire??!!?? Premium? Hate to see their non-premium!!!

After having the right rear come unglued going down to Miami a while back decided it was time to replace all 4 on my trailer did some research and rolled the dice on Goodyear’s new Endurance e rated radials with a 87 mph speed rating don’t trailer that fast but 65-70 keeps them from running over you and getting cut off! Nice ride and good reviews but twice the price . After all the work I did figured it might be cheap insurance

Yes Sir I've heard good things about the Endurance by Goodyear, except the price, HOWEVER if they try and sell you some Goodyear Marathon's.....run Forrest RUN as fast as you can!!!! This is from experience.

That was a good portion of the research making sure the endurance was not just a rebranded marathon

I installed Goodyear Endurance on mine about 6 months ago. Time will tell but so far all good. I did install "sun screens" on both trailers as the sun is hard on the starboard side.
