Transom height

Hey everyone,

I am currently replacing the transom on my 1970 20ft cc, i am going to raise it from 20in to 25in. So i have a question for you guys, is it a true 25in or do i need to go bigger with the measurement?

Thanks

I would go to 26.5 or 27 since these hulls like a higher AV plate (also known as X-dimension).

On my next re do I'm going with an open transom for a change of scenery. Will make it as high as possible with a short jack plate for the motor.

I agree with all of the above. I replaced my transom years ago and went to 25 inches. I wished I would have gone to 27 inches.
