Still too low? 79 Sceptre engine question.
 

1979 23 Sceptre with a 2012 E-Tec 225 on an Armstrong bracket.
3/4 tank of fuel, 3 adults 2 kids, cruising at about 4200 RPM's and 25 knots. 11GPH fuel burn.
Maybe move her up another hole? Only have one left.
Already moved the motor up two holes from where it was when I got her last winter.

Cav plate not showing... likely go the additional hole.

You may need to go with a "Bob's" jack plate if one more hole up is
all you have left.....

Now you're talking. If you can't get the mounting high enough this will make it real easy to dial it in!!

When refurbishing an 82 Whaler with an old 70 hp OMC, I went to hang an F60 and the industry standards had changed for the mounting bolt pattern. Exhausted from filling holes, I opted for a Bobs Machine 5(“) in 1 manual jack plate. Weighs 24 pounds, drilled holes in plate to match older pattern in hull and mounted. One of the best days on the water took two 3/4” box wrenches out to the sand bar and just kept bringing it up til prop began surfacing, and then down some. Best $225 I ever spent, until replacing prop. Freaking Awesome!!!

Warning: May cause uncontrollable desire to upgrade prop.
