So I'm done with the floor of the Seacraft and it ready to go to paint soon

BUT.... I was out house shopping with the wife and next door I see this boat. I drop the wife at home and go back and knock on the door and ask if it's for sale. The lady says her and her husband bought the boat 3 years ago and shortly afterwards he passed away. We go back and forth on price and I buy it really cheap. It a 1990 Mako 21 walk around with a 200 mercury and aluminum trailer. It has a lot of brand new accessories in the garage. What it is it's that it's really dirty. All the seats and cushions are in really good shape and it come with electronics.
Plan is to clean it up and get it running use it a bit and sell it.

Now the Seacraft is going to paint very soon

Congrats! Does that merc have a single big watercooled voltage regulator? Looks like it could be a 1991 2.5L 200 with the 7 petal front.

In 1991 the first year of the Mercury 2.5L motor. Mercury had an odd duck 2.5L 200hp engine. It had bottom guided 8118 rods, pumper carbs, and a wide 7 petal front half. They put out more than 200hp and were banned from race events. 7 petal front flows a lot better above 7000rpm.

The 1991 200hp 2.5L engines are most easily recognized by the large single water cooled voltage regulator and the pumper carbs.

I like that! The original APBA Jersey Speed Skiffs ran short block Chevy 283’s because they did not require a rev limiter. In the water and out. 60 over they did not last very long, famous for eating valves, which is a very expensive day. But when they were running well, Stupid fun!!!

Vezo, Part II

So I got the boat to the house . Started by cleaning the hull and interior ...what a pain in the ass. Going to hit the non skid areas with a pressure cleaner tomorrow. Installed 2 batteries and the engine turned over but it looks like the trim is in need of fluid . Emptied the cabin of everything. Interior is in good shape but one of the "bed" coushin is shot so I'll redo them all. Tomorrow I plan to get the trim fluid done and then get the engine started. And finish the cleaning.
