Yamaha 200 ETXD on a 20' SF

Has any body put a Yamaha 200 on a 20' SF? No bracket, original configuration? looks like it weighs about 50# more then the original 150 on it now. Thanks for the help.

I have seen several Yamaha 200's of various years on non-bracketed 20's, including four strokes. They seem to to do fine. The 4's sit lower and I assume they were/are on 25-27" transoms. I looked at 200 yammis to some extent for myself a while ago. I don't have any specifics for you but if you look around enough you'll find enough. Let us know what you do.

I have a 1993 2 stroke 225 Yamaha on a 20, transom is 27"- no problems
Also have a 1994 200 Mercury 200 (Black max 2 stroke) on a 20, 27" transom- no problems

Both motors are reported to weigh slightly over 400 pounds

I put a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke on a 20 for a friend, motor is raised one hole higher than above boats and this is the only SeaCraft 20 I've ever experienced porpoising on. Not sure if it is the engine height or weight causing this.

All of these boats have had the decks raised 2-3"

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try it out.
