Console Placement

Does anyone have a measurement on how far back to place the front of the console from the front casting/ icebox on a 20ft master angler 1978?

I took some measurements from a friends restored 76 SF. I believe this to be the original location of the console, I don't know if this helps. I really don't know if anything is different on the MA. I can tell you that a little more room behind the console would be a plus!

I wouldn't bother with factory dimensions. I would place it to aid with the center of gravity. Motor weight dictated where mine went and it yielded a lot of extra room to fish. These boats ride so well you don't need to sit on the transom "for the ride"! Good luck!

I have a mid 90's 150 on the raised ransom so weight is not an issue.

I think I'm going to mock up the console and leaning post along with the original splash well enclosure that does comes into the boat some and see where it fits ..

I have a 175 Johnson on my 79 MA and splashwell. The factory placement was 3” aft of center floor drains. Now, after removing the front seat of console, I have moved forward 4”, gaining 7” overall. Hope this helps.

Vezo.

Yesterday I went and played around to where I would like the console would be.

I think I moved it up forward to where it was originally but not by much. Couldn't take measurements because it started raining but I compromised with leaving some additional room in the back where most of the time is where you are at and left plenty of room forward of the console seat.
Also I'm tall and need a little extra between the console and the leaning post.

I have so.e numbers today
