Color Match for SeaCraft Yellow

I am trying to find a paint for my transom with a reasonable match to the yellow gelcoat on my ‘76 Seafari. Don’t know what the yellow was called, darker than Fighting Lady Yellow more like Federal Yellow- but that’s not it. Signature Finishing in Stuart was unable to do it. Anyone been through this and have a paint and paint code. Thx

Yellow Finish

Give Awlgrip Lemon Yellow #h9265 a look. May be pretty close. Do you have a Awlfrip color chip chart to find match? Good luck. You could also check with a good body shop paint supplier, they can custom blend. They have a hUge number of chips for each color. When you find a match they can custom blend a two part poly paint.

Seacraft yellow

My cutout was too small for Awlgrip to match. Said they needed 2”x2”. So bought Awlgrip brightside yellow F9316 which looked closer than lemon yellow to me. It will only be on transom and has not been sprayed yet.
Thanks for response.

Terry - Take a look at the golden rod yellow pigment. I think it's close to the original seacraft yellow.

Sherwin Williams can color match with a 1/2 inch circle. Maybe ask them if they will print it out for a fee?

As a yellow SeaCraft owner I know this is tough. I think the color Bigshrimpin recommended looks close from the picture. The original color definitely had some mustard color in it.

Capt Chuck - Awesome boat!

Thx guys. I should have responded sooner. Was working like crazy to have the engine back on before the grands arrived a week ago. Two lake trips since then. Today the girl 7 and the boy 5 solo kneeboarded for the first time after lots of runs on their uncles back. I bought Awlcraft yellow which will be applied later

Terry,

Ag Yellow was the original yellow color used by Potter...

I have always liked the color...

My first flats boat in 1973 was yellow and named "Chiquita"...

Picture from my desk of a friend that pasted 35 years ago ..
Those were the days...

For anyone that is interested . . . I bought some of the golden rod yellow pigment from US Composites and it's far from a match. The golden rod yellow pigment is an almost identical color to the yellow lines in the middle of a street.
