First time I was able to get the ol girl back in the water since my shoulder replacement. Rough on the way out but flattened out in the afternoon. Fish tacos for a few weeks secured!

Thanks Terry, I had lots of concern about loading my gun post replacement but it is working out well.

How tough are those lion fish to clean? I'm sure there's a method but the fins may make for a steep learning curve.

Get a pair of heavy duty kitchen scissors. The fish are pretty wimpy, don't flop around much. Spines are easy to cut off. After that, its as easy as any other fish. The fish are little, but very tasty.

The ones we got were about 3 lbs and are treated like live cobras until I can cut the spines off. I lip hold them like a bass and trim the venom spines off and then fillet like any other fish..
