1969 SeaCraft info needed.

Hi,
Did they make a 16' Seafari in late 60's?
I did look at the old catalog but didn't see one. Locally there is one for sale. Seller says its 16' o/b 1969.
Thanks,

Nope: Looks like a Seafari O/B. Has cuddy and the top windscreen with cuddy windows below.

I would be more interested if it were a 20 for sure.

If so it comes with a sad backstory. It was resurrected by our friend Dogbomb who was diagnosed with ALS. Unfortunetely we lost him earlier in 2019. Not sure if the group here was aware. I noticed the listing a few weeks back and it didn't feel right.

I too saw the listing on eBay, and yes it was Tony's "Dogbomb"
Sent a message to the seller and never heard back ??

Looked up on the stats and the last time he was on with us was
03/18/2019 ..:(

Sad indeed, not sure who inherited his Seafari, but the
selling price was truly a bargain !!

Rest in peace Tony ....

What a generous and amazing man! Rest in peace, Tony.

Sorry to hear this, RIP

Btw: It is a 20 and not a 16'

I also saw this add and thought it was sad. I remember seeing a post about the last time he went out in the boat that his friends helped him get in and out of it. It was neat to see that he had some close friends who who would do that with him. One last trip with some close friends in a special boat seems like a nice way to wrap things up.

Also sad to see it listed as a Mako Seacraft 16’. When I saw that I knew he had passed.

Tony Dogbomb

I was sorry to hear of Tony?s passing. We had shared PMs a few times. As I recall his Seafari looked like my yellow ?76, maybe slightly older. Was also surprised when he told me there were quiet coves along the Colorado River for skiing and. chilling out. Seemed like a fun, upbeat guy. Sorry we lost our CSC friend.

Wow, I did not hear that he had passed. We had compared notes on his and my Seafari rebuilds, and he helped me source parts like my bimini and other items. What a nice letter to the students that he wrote!
He will be missed.
